Chen Yan and Song He, a couple working and living in Beijing, decide to take out a loan to buy a new house, far exceeding their income, to improve their family's quality of life. Chen Yan firmly believes that life isn't a one-time thing; she must constantly strive for a better life. Some of her female friends face marital setbacks, new life choices, and career crises. Their seemingly glamorous lives each harbor hidden secrets. When the new house threatens to be delivered late, Chen Yan and Song He's relationship also escalates, casting a shadow over their once-happy life. Chen Yan awakens from her dream, realizing that family happiness is the true meaning of life.
