Four generations under one roof. All women. Not a single man. This is how four women live in Pärnu, the fourth largest city in Estonia. Adele, her daughter Marta, her granddaughter Kersti and her granddaughter Liisbet. No men have ever resided in this first Estonian-era dwelling, or at least the eyes of their neighbours and fellow citizens have never seen anything like it. Yet, it is a family whose members are respected in their own way. But what happens when a man comes into the house? A whole new life begins for all four women, as the joys and sorrows, relationships and secrets, hopes and dreams of one family and four generations begin to reveal themselves, layer by layer.
