After her father's death, a young woman navigates quirky funerals, cultural clashes, and unexpected connections in her quest for closure.
Episodes
Lady Garden Funeral's newest employee, Annie, is left to conduct a funeral for the first time without her shambolic boss, Sal. Chaos ensues nonetheless and Annie is left fumbling, as she tries to unite an eccentric and intimidating crowd of mourners.
It's taken a few months but Annie is finally getting comfortable (possibly too comfortable) with her job at Lady Garden Funerals. Annie is on her way to a service when her boss Sal's cheapskate ways backfire on them yet again, leaving her stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken-down hearse.
Funeral assistant Annie and her boss Sal are preparing for a Chinese funeral when they realise they've made a grave mistake. Annie and Sal come up with a plan to fool the grieving widow - but will they get away with it? Sal can't afford another refund this week.
After her father dies unexpectedly, Annie lands a job at a funeral home in an attempt to gain closure. The shambolic small business, run by her dysfunctional boss Sal, opens Annie's eyes to the bizarre world of funerals. Written and starring Annie Louey, a Chinese-Australian comedian, the series de-stigmatises grief and death through different cultural lenses. Annie reflects on her own Chinese background and traditions as she comes face to face with a bogan funeral, and connects to a grieving Chinese widow.
