The action takes place in Moscow. Early in the morning, a terrible explosion occurs in one of the city's districts. Police dog handler Gleb Kotov and his dog Mukhtar, by coincidence, are the first to help those trapped under the rubble, and, risking their lives, save two people. The next day after the feat, Mukhtar makes a serious mistake when detecting dangerous criminals. Trying to prove his innocence, Kotov comes into conflict with the head of the task force, and the dog rushes to protect his owner and bites the policeman.
