Last Summer

Public Prosecutor Selim Kara receives an unexpected offer from the organized gang leader Selçuk Taskin, whom he arrested eight years ago. Selçuk Taskin will testify in return for protecting his son Akgün Gökalp Taskin. Akgün Gökalp, a mad cartridge, walking in his father's footsteps, involved with people with whom should not be involved, his life is in danger. Selim lives alone in Istanbul, separate from his family due to his profession. His wife Canan, daughter Yagmur and son Altay, on the other hand, have established a life separate from their father in Izmir, Çesme for four years. Selim takes Selçuk Taskin's son under his protection by using some force, but due to family problems, he has to return to Çesme and his family with this troubled young man. Selim has to save his marriage at all costs. Akgün Gökalp has no intention of saying 'thank you' to this compulsory companionship. Things will get complicated when he learns that Selim Kara is the prosecutor who arrested his father years ago.

Selim and Akgün moved to the Justice Site, opposite Canan's house. Only Altay from the Kara family welcomes Selim's surprise, while Canan and Yagmur feel deceived. Canan is very angry with Selim because she realizes that Selim does not respect her decisions at all and she can no longer contain her anger. She tells Selim that she will not play games for him and that she will not lie for him. On the first day of their family gathering, the children will learn that they will divorce. Selim realizes that it will not be easy to convince Canan this time. He asks the happiest couple he knows, Emel and Metin, to help him. While Emel takes her sister's side, Metin will help his brother-in-law Selim secretly. Akgün was left alone. Although he stayed at the prosecutor's house since he has nowhere to go, he cannot make this situation proud. He must escape from the Justice Site, continue on his way alone, and while doing so, he must not be killed. While looking for a way out, Akgün confronts a familiar face from Istanbul as an opportunity to solve all his problems. However, things get out of control and this opportunity turns into trouble that will get Akgün and Yagmur into trouble, although he never wanted to.

While Akgün tries to escape to Chios Island (Sakiz Adasi) with Yagmur's help, a surprise awaits them in the middle of the sea. When Selim learns that Akgün made a plan with Yagmur and put her in danger, he decides to keep Akgün away from his family. They set out for Istanbul. Facing his father in Istanbul, Akgün finds a chance to settle accounts with him. Selim, on the other hand, learns the real reason behind Selçuk Taskin's entrusting Akgün to him. Meanwhile, Altay, who learns that his family is going to get a divorce, causes Selim to question the decisions he made by exhibiting an unexpected behavior.

Halil Sadi asks Akgün to find where is Selim's witness Latif Coskun. In return, he promises to help him go abroad. Yagmur is upset after her break up with Kaan. Kaan is also depressed. This break-up will bring the two mothers face to face. Meanwhile, Metin realizes that Serap is acting strange towards him and tries to find out why. Selim, on the other hand, cannot digest Fatih's being very intertwined with his family in his absence. On top of that, when he hears about Fatih's job offer to Canan, he gets mad and presses him to withdraw the offer with a visit to Fatih's office. But Selim, regretting what he did when he saw how enthusiastic Canan was about returning to work, and he makes a move for Canan. Seeing Selim's efforts for his loved ones, Akgün is very impressed. He is now at a crossroad where he will have to decide between betraying Selim and not.

Akgün sees the photograph of Selim and his mother. When he asks Selim if he knows his mother and Selim denies it, this destroys Akgün's world. While Akgün's anger is searching for a place to explode, Yagmur realizes Akgün's sudden change and wants to know what happened. The fact that Yagmur pushes Akgün's boundaries will carry the relationship between the two to another level. Selim is about to fix his relationship with both his children and Canan. He is now closer than ever to regain his family. Meanwhile, Fatih tells Yagmur that Selim is threatening him, and Yagmur gives her father a chance, to tell the truth to her mother. Selim cannot afford to lose Canan again. Meanwhile, the truth that emerges will turn everything upside down.
