A beautiful college student is found stabbed to death in her bed. Police immediately find the murder weapon and an eyewitness, but the case stalls. And, another beloved young woman is bludgeoned to death in her home.
Two unsolved murders are investigated: 1. On June 26, 2009, a 10-year-old girl, Lindsay Baum of McCleary, Washington, was walking home from her friend's house at dusk and then mysteriously vanished within a few blocks. Her remains were found in Eastern Washington eight years later. Detectives are still working the unsolved case. 2. During the early hours of September 13, 2015, in Stockton, California, Timothy "Tim" Egkan was discovered dead, lying face-down on the sidewalk with some bruising on his body. He had been walking to his home. He died of a stab wound to his torso that severed his aorta. A botched robbery was ruled out by investigators, because his belongings were confirmed to still be with him. Detectives are still working the unsolved case.
When Aliza Sherman is stabbed to death, police are convinced the attack was premeditated, and Aliza may have known her killer. Then, the fire that kills Sheila Deviney is ruled an accident, until new evidence points to arson and murder.
Just because a case is closed doesn't mean the truth has been revealed. Suicide or murder? Runaway or kidnapping? Accidental or premeditated? Each episode of STILL A MYSTERY re-examines a single crime case where unanswered questions still remain. Through original interviews with law enforcement, family members and private investigators, news footage and social media, STILL A MYSTERY dissects the evidence and presents new theories in a quest to uncover the truth.
