Tim takes on Rattray Head in the face of a huge storm. This is the turning point to head south for the first time. The North Sea becomes the new enemy as he and Shane struggle to cope with this unrelenting force of nature.
Next stop is Newcastle, a place Tim is truly fond of ever since he played Barry in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Then to Hartlepool, which Tim discovers translates to 'Stags by the Sea'. The sea turns on him.
Timothy Spall is now in Yorkshire, proudly steaming towards the final destination of London. But on the sea coming into Whitby, the birthplace of Dracula , Tim is deeply troubled by troublesome engine noises.
So close to London and Tim hadn't realised how confusing Thames can be in the blackness of night. They soon become lost and low tide increases the risk of running aground. A lifeboat crew save the day.
