In the Season 5 premiere, Damaris plans a glamping staycation, as a surprise for her hardworking husband. She serves Southern Sloppy Joes and crunchy butternut squash slaw, plus s'more bites for dessert.
Damaris and some friends go on a farm adventure, during which they make pickled peaches. But first, she prepares a picnic lunch, featuring zucchini-noodle salad and blackened chicken sandwiches with almond butter and red pepper jam.
Damaris is inspired to update a few of her grandmother's most memorable recipes, including porcupine meatballs in sauerkraut, buttery baked potato rolls and oatmeal-molasses cookies.
Damaris helps her sister prepare for Halloween by carving pumpkins, decorating the house and making sweet treats. On the menu: red velvet lava cake; cornmeal-and-white-chocolate biscotti; roasted chicken white chili.
