Olaug Pettersen lives on her own in a village in the north of Norway where she spends her days enjoying the beauty of her home and tending to her two sons and husband's grave at the local cemetery. Despite having experienced her fair share of sorrows and tribulations she is able to find joy and peace in her everyday life.
Magnhild Snaprud and Christoffer Christensen found each other whilst studying and together bought a derelict mountain farm where they have set up home. Magnhild is a teacher and during the winter months she often uses a sledge to get to work.
