Chris travels to Usk in Monmouthshire, Wales known as the Welsh "town of flowers". They have been entering the competition for 36 years and regularly win gold - but constantly need to come up with new ideas.
Chris meets the Bloomers from Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire. They've competed for a decade but never won the top prize. With three ambitious new projects in mind they hope to win gold and put their forgotten seaside resort back on the map.
Chris heads to Shrewsbury where the Bloomers have been taking part for 37 years. Backed by the council this gold-winning team plant 30,000 flowers every year. Can they retain their crown?
