A grieving daughter-in-law confronts her meddling mother-in-law's ghost in a dog's body, igniting chaos and reluctant teamwork.

Maria finds a small stray dog outside and brings the dog home. Maria is shocked to discover that her mother-in-law who died recently, has reincarnated as a dog.
Anna the mother-in-law has grown tired of being a ghost, and Maria is tired of Anna who has moved into their home as Haukku the dog. To resolve this Maria talks to the vet about the possibility of putting the dog down. Toni and the teenagers lose their youngest kid, but Haukku helps to find Sofia.
Maria attempts to make Haukku look like a neighborhood dog that's gone missing. Toni tries to plan the perfect date for him and Maria, but the twins who have been enlisted to help, cause some trouble.
Toni has decided to build Sofia a loft bed. His lack of tinkering skills result in a bandaid on a forehead and a store-bought loft bed. Jenni arranges a loud protest at Maria's work.
Maria's engagement ring is found in a surprising place, and Jenni and Janne prank each other. Both things result in indigestion.
"Be careful when wishing your mother-in-law was dead. She might come back to haunt you--as a dog." Maria, mother of the Pitkänen family, brings home a small stray dog she found on the street. The rest of the family immediately falls in love with the dog, decide to keep him, and name him Paw. But to her horror, Maria soon realizes that her recently-deceased mother-in-law Anna has been reincarnated in Paw's body, and she is the only person who realizes--the only one who can see and hear her dead mother-in-law. The former adversaries must now work together to solve the family's problems, while their mutual conflict turns the family's everyday life into a flurry of crazy mishaps. Even death isn't necessarily enough to stop the holy war between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
