An unusual family-Rale, Mare, and two kids-moves into their first shared apartment. Along with them come their differences, hopes, ambitions, and, of course, problems. The initial euphoria of their new life adventure is disrupted by Rale's mother's presence and a mysterious noise in the middle of the night.
Caught up in teenage excitement over a costume party, Lea makes a big mistake. Meanwhile, Rale and his best friend Zare organize a surprise party for Mare, which is actually a house-warming celebration. Will the uninvited police officers who crash the party solve the case of the missing money-or the mystery of the nightly noises?
The family learns that Lea has a crush on a boy named David. They also discover that Luka is dealing with a problem at school, but he refuses to talk about it. Meanwhile, Mare deepens her friendship with their neighbor Sanja, who happens to be Zare's crush.
