After being forced to share a cabin on a cruise, Caco and Camila, fall for each other. But when their marriage hits the seven-year itch, they end up calling it quits only to have to keep sharing the same apartment due to financial issues.
To help save the apartment from foreclosure, Camila decides to rent out her room on the internet. Caco gets uncomfortable with the amount of guests coming in and out and asks for help from his best friend, Marcinho.
After having their electricity cut off due to lack of payment, Caco realizes he can't just be waiting to get his indemnification. Together with his best friend, Marcinho, he starts a BBQ delivery business on his balcony to make money.
Caco and Camila receive a notification that their apartment could be auctioned off. Caco decides to ask for help from his parents. His mother gives him her greatest possession, a Portinari painting.
On her first date with Roberto Carlos, Camila's car is towed away. She becomes more involved with him and to her surprise, he becomes great friends with Caco.
A couple breaks up but is forced to live in the same apartment together for financial reasons.
