Scott "Punk Chef"Garthwaite travels to Ludlow Food Festival in Shropshire to cook the best of British food in front a live audience there, making history as the first Deaf chef to demonstrate at a mainstream food festival. Scott finds a range of local ingredients to cook with, meets some Deaf food lovers who are enjoying the festival, and talks to professional chef Olivia Birt, who works at London's Claridge's. Lifestyle (2019). In the second episode of Punk Chef on the Road Series 2, Scott "Punk Chef" Garthwaite travels to Cornwall to discover the healthy local food of the area. He meets a forager, a professional chef and some Cornish residents, learning more about what's available locally and cooking some very interesting dishes. Finally, if you're going to Cornwall, you have to try surfing. Luckily, Deaf surfer Harry Hilliar is around to help Scott ride the waves at Watergate Bay, in return for being cooked for. Scott finds inspiration for his cooking in the farm shop and finds a treasure trove of ingredients. He meets with truckers on their travels, a pig farmer, and a group of Deaf cooks. He visits The Black Swan, a Michelin starred restaurant with a garden and farm, plus Wensleydale Creamery, then an allotment in Leeds which belongs to Jason, a Deaf gardener, and finally Rainbow Junktion Café, a community project that relies on food that is being thrown away from local businesses. He starts his visit by meeting acclaimed cook and food writer Paula McIntyre who tells him why Northern Ireland has such a big association with comfort food. In Belfast, Scott meets Louise Russell, a Deaf home cook who is infamous amongst friends and family for her Bannock Bread, then visits Garth Horner at Horner's Farm to learn more about seasonal Northern Irish potatoes.
