In remote, late 70s, Logann, NE, Ricardo Puig DDS, a dreamer by day, a gambler by night, meets server, Monae. Mr. Opal keeps losing. Puig's alter life in 1891, hotel heir Leon Cortez, sends Alice to Boston as the maid's murder trial wraps.
In 1891, Leon Cortez and Alice Cohen buy a home outside the hotel, but run into an ambush. Maggie Watson escapes the county jail. Parallel lives happen in 1977 with Leon's alter soul, Ricardo Puig DDS, aligning with Monae Picard's needs. Spring is starting to arrive after the last big snow storm of the year in remote Logann, NE. A stalker known as Rosita Morales (with an alter life as Ms. Contreras in the 1890s) seems to use the same time-traveling limo as Mrs. Jules, who is in the region to get the job done. Exactly what job? Dr. Puig is drugged and starts recovering his memory as Leon Cortez, as if recovering from amnesia. Angie finds a job at the Piggy store while the hair salon is in stinky waters. Sheriff Ropper is spreading rumors.
The end of the 10-episode saga has William Picard on a killing spree in Spring of 1977. Angie's first day at the Piggy store turns into a nightmare, whereas she is the nightmare, herself, in 1891. Dr. Puig receives a visit from Margie's favorite visitor, and stalker, Rosita. Meanwhile in 1891, Leon Cortez wins a duel against and old enemy who kidnapped him on the eve of the battle. Leon seals a deal with the devilish Irishman. Both Cortez and Puig will reap what they sow. Will the Hotel Union remain with the Cortez family?
Dr. Puig's new clinic and the overall dysfunction of its medical staff, patients, coupled with betrayals, twists and turns will become the talk of a small Midwestern town.
