Brandy brings over her friend Joy who is super shy, but has many hidden talents. So Joel and Brandy encourage her to show them off at an "Express Yourself Party" in the backyard.
Mr. Flabbinjaw is feeling under the weather, so Joel, Brany, Dr. FullOvit and Grandma Zippy try using laughter to make him feel better.
Brandy has the opportunity to tell a story in class but she doesn't know what to tell. So she learns from her teacher Dr. Bickersteth the basics of telling a story and Joel calls on his friends Director Greg, Steve The Super Cool Guitar Player and Susannah The Poet to help explain different forms of story telling. Brandy decides to use all formats and they put on a backyard show using, acting, music and poetry. Even Mr. Flabbinjaw comes on over to watch.
The show joins Joel and his wacky friends and neighbors in his backyard for a different adventure themed around an extraordinary (and sometimes surprisingly ordinary) activity that sends us away with a recharged imagination of our own.Themes can be as simple as what to do with a big box of tin foil, or as complex as taking control of the moods we feel. Joel and his friends explore these concepts completely without electronics, joysticks, or referees. "Come On Over!" magically blends the heart of "Mister Rogers Neighborhood" with the silliness of "Pee Wee's Playhouse" and the creativity of "Scrubs". It includes a world of music, animation and puppets.
