Two feuding families grapple with a tragic past, as buried secrets threaten to unravel their lives in the breathtaking Alps.
Episodes
The lawyer Lisa Huber is returning from Munich to her homeland in the Allgäu to open her own law firm. Her new beginning is more than a professional decision: the lawyer finally wants to help her family get justice. For a long time, the Huber's Alm has suffered badly from having lost its pastureland to the Leitners in the valley. The painful enmity between the once friendly clans has a sad reason: Sebastian Leitner blames Lorenz Huber for the death of his youngest son, who died in an accident 20 years ago. In revenge, he legally took the willows from Lorenz, to whom he had granted a personal loan among friends. Now Lisa wants to win back the lost land in court. Her sister Marie, who throws the ailing farm and offers active vacation for city dwellers, fears the process. She knows: the wealthy Leitners are in a position to finally ruin their traditional alpine pasture. While old wounds break open again between the hostile mountain farmers, a family drama takes place among the holiday guests: Frieda Richthofen puts the private detective Helena Hartmann on her children David and Emilia. The career woman wants to prove that these are incited against her by her ex-husband Alexander. Soon it becomes more and more difficult for Helena to fulfill her secret mission.
Returning home Lisa is now helping her family on the Huber-Alm. Her sister Marie has a night of love in the hay with Georg Leitner of all people. For the two eternal brawlers, this situation is more than unexpected. The next morning they don't know what that means. Because surprisingly, real feelings are involved. But there is no time to explore them. Georg's ex-wife Mirjam creates a new trouble spot in the dispute between the Hubers and the Leitners: She wants to hire Lisa as a lawyer for a custody dispute over daughter Lea. Of course, no one wants members of the family who were friends to see each other again in front of a judge - especially since Sebastian Leitner finally seems ready for a reconciliation with Lorenz Huber. But he doesn't want to tell his daughter Lisa to accept the delicate mandate. Her sister Marie is also faced with a difficult decision, because the one-night stand with Georg is not without consequences. There is also plenty of fuel to ignite with holiday guests: Anna and Hannes, who are now a couple, are on holiday with their ex-partner and their two children. Old wounds and new feelings make adults feel jealous - and lead to far-reaching decisions.
Marie Huber is happy: her baby bump is growing. The pregnancy, which only her sister Lisa knows about, can no longer be hidden for a long time. While Marie is just waiting for the right moment to tell her father Lorenz the good news, things are anything but easy with the expectant "dad" Georg Leitner. Everything has changed between Marie and her former arch-enemy since the "slip" in the hay: he doesn't suspect anything about his fatherhood, but seems seriously interested in a relationship. She, too, is attracted to Georg, but remains cautious. In Georg's custody battle with his ex-wife Mirjam, Marie observes that his tough side is still there: In order not to lose his daughter Lea, he hires the unscrupulous lawyer Dr. kendrich Holiday guests of the mountain farms also fight with tough bandages: The Hamburg restaurateur Steffen wants to force his business partner Leonie out of the joint restaurant with Georg's help. To prevent that, she came with her tough twin sister Lena. Lena disguises herself as Leonie to take on Steffen.
Lorenz Huber receives good and bad news. His daughter Marie gives him a grandson. But the farm only generates losses and is about to go bankrupt. However, the supposed solution could again provoke a legal dispute.
Home birth on the Alm: Marie Huber gives birth to her child and Georg Leitner is present at the birth. In this moment of happiness, she finally tells him that he is the father and even lets him choose the name. What better opportunity for the former nemesis to finally become a "proper" couple? With little Fritzi in their arms, the young parents receive terrible news: their fathers, Sebastian and Lorenz, died in a car accident. Sebastian's ex-wife Henriette, his brother Karl and his adopted son Tom travel to the funeral. It is not easy for the two Leitner sons to see their mother again, who turned her back on the farm many years ago. Old wounds that have never fully healed break open in Georg and Florian's case. Meanwhile, Lisa Huber has new hopes of getting back the lost pastures from the Leitners. However, since she is willing to seek legal action for this, this could reignite the conflict between the clans, which was laboriously resolved. Marie, on the other hand, wants peace for herself and her baby - even if she has to give up the dilapidated farm to do so. The sisters get into a bitter argument.
The Huber and Leitner families were once closely linked. However, since the fatal accident of the youngest Leitner son, tragically caused by the head of the Huber family, the two Allgäu mountain farming clans have been deep enemies.
