In the Season 3 premiere of Ball In The Family, Gelo and Izzy reunite as he deals with a tough performance in Lithuania and even tougher press. Melo has trouble on and off the court with his team but finds an opportunity to rise when they need him most. Meanwhile, Lavar announces the launch of the JBA tryouts.
Melo reveals that he wants to play for the JBA, however, LaVar is unsure it is the right path for him. Gelo and Izzy try to lift his spirits by taking him out, but the plan backfires and the brothers get into an argument. Meanwhile, LaVar feels fortunate that the JBA can provide talented kids a second chance after coming face to face with the stories of their hardships.
Lonzo spoils Denise with a surprise birthday weekend getaway in San Diego where she reveals her body insecurities. Meanwhile, Gelo and Izzy discuss their plans for the future at Izzy's last dinner in Lithuania. Gelo then sustains an ankle injury during an LKL game, affecting his training for the NBA Draft.
Gelo discovers that the ankle injury he sustained is season-ending and is concerned about his ability to recover quickly enough for the NBA Combine. Afraid of her impending birth, Denise and Zo attend a birthing class to educate themselves on the process. LaVar recounts the day of Tina's stroke and expresses his unqualified belief in her full recovery to a reporter doing an article on Tina's journey.
Tina and the whole Ball family invade Lithuania craving a taste of the life the boys and Lavar have been living the past four months. Melo, Gelo, and Zo undergo physical therapy to help their recovery from their respective injuries. The Balls attend one last Vytautas basketball game before bidding farewell to their Lithuanian friends and fans.
