Subsequent to the erotic correspondence between Antonis Kostoulas, a volunteer soldier in the Archipelagos Division, and the affectionate Myrsini, a teacher at the Parthenagogue of Mytilene, we trace the progression of political developments that culminate in the First World War. Additionally, we navigate a timeless perspective on the inhumane conditions and the destructive futility of warfare. The narrative unfolds as a poignant and perceptive account of a romantic relationship that flourishes amidst the stark realities of wartime.
