Christian and Tanja announce to the family that they're getting married. They want Michael to be their witness - after all, he introduced Tanja to the practice and is therefore "responsible" for their happiness. Everyone is thrilled, except for Christian's son Paul. Seemingly for no reason, he suddenly feels excluded. Christian tries to figure out what's bothering his son. Because, of course, the wedding will only happen if the whole family agrees... Christian is called to the emergency room: Nicole Höppner survives an electric shock in the bathtub. What initially appears to be an accident turns out, upon closer inspection, to be the result of a serious illness. Christian must act quickly to save the woman's life. Tanja's patient, Sina Drechsler, is seven months pregnant. During a prenatal checkup, Tanja discovers fluid in the unborn child's chest. Without surgery in the womb, the unborn child will not survive - a procedure that carries great risks.

Tanja is completely surprised when her daughter Luisa suddenly appears in Eisenach. But the joy of the reunion is quickly dampened when Luisa accuses her mother of destroying their family. Tanja, who had kept the true reason for the divorce from her daughters to protect them, hesitates to reveal it, which leads to an argument and drives Luisa out into the freezing night... Oliver Kröger is the father of 15-year-old Ronja, who has had to live with one parent or the other for the past two years due to a bitter custody battle. Oliver's new partner, Kerstin Wallner, wants to move in with father and daughter. But Ronja reacts jealously, and her father is caught between two stools. The situation escalates when Ronja injures herself and the wound doesn't stop bleeding - and Tanja discovers numerous bruises on the girl's body. Retired man Horst Hillmann comes to the practice because of a heel spur. Christian quickly notices that the former teacher, who misses his job, is suffering from health problems. The patient suffers from severe unsteadiness when walking. With the help of his young colleague Dr. Carolin Thelen, Christian investigates the cause. Then Hillmann falls again and is hospitalized with a life-threatening injury.
Today is the big day: Tanja and Christian are getting married. The wedding preparations are complete, the family is complete. Nothing should go wrong. But on the way to the doctor's office, Christian is almost hit by Andreas Tauber, who rumbles his car, an old Wartburg, onto the sidewalk: Severe pain in his wrist has caused him to lose control of the vehicle. Andreas is determined to win the upcoming "Thuringia Tour" with his classic car - especially because he wants to beat his girlfriend Britta's ex-boyfriend, who is also participating. After a thorough examination, Christian strongly advises Andreas against participating. He must rest his wrist at all costs. Failure to do so could, in the worst case, lead to irreparable joint stiffness or even amputation. Andreas is unconcerned about the risks; he pursues his goal relentlessly, putting his and Britta's lives in danger... An emergency also occurs in the practice: Tanja's heavily pregnant patient, Sabine Ellerbrock, just wanted to use the restroom for a moment when she realized that her water had broken and labor had begun.
