A tottering young woman, Vanessa, steps into the police precinct to press charges against the boss of a sport center. According to her statement, he drugged her and tried to rape her. The man is arrested by cop Marie Balaguère. In front of prosecutor Elisabeth Brochène, the man claims his innocence.
The music teacher of a prestigious secondary school is killed during a gala evening. One of the student is the daughter of prosecutor Elizabeth Brochène, herself former student of the school. The head master tells the cops about Eddie, a young man with a criminal record, who had an argument with the victim and got expelled.
A jail guard is found dead in a waste ground. The warden draw the attention of cop Marie Balaguère on a prisoner who had troubles with the victim. The suspect has an alibi and tells about traffics inside the jail. The victim was fighting against those traffics.
The beautiful wife of an architect is murdered. The architect's reluctance to collaborate with the cops leads the investigation to a spousal homicide. In the interrogation room, Marie Balaguère is confronted to the man's difficult personality.
Prosecutor Elizabeth Brochène and police lieutenant Marie Balaguère are investigating the murder of a young woman. The investigation reveals that the victim's lover is a colleague of Marie. At the same time, a cop reports against his superior for moral harassment.
