A fearless pirate battles ancient evil while navigating loyalty, love, and betrayal among her unpredictable crew.
Episodes
After a season of relaxing in the Resort Town Formerly Known as Margaritaville, the Salt Baes gather to catch up over drinks in The Square Peggy tavern. Eoj shares about his love life, Trislyn shares about her roving gang of pickpocket children (Trislyn's Tots), and Dirty Hank is approached about a potential job offer for the group. Through the night shenanigans ensue, including a nipple-snatching Macaw, relationship drama for Eoj, loud sex for Addi and more. After breakfast at the Clam Chowder Shack, Trislyn discovers weird ice footprints leading toward the library where the group does battle, and reunites with Gwen who makes a job offer. They finally go to meet Pradeet and Sirda to hear about her job, but decide Gwen's offer was better.
The group goes to settle the terms of a job offer from Gwen, and with a mix of confusion, violence and condescension talk her around to a better deal than she offered originally. Gwen is unhappy when she leaves the bar, and on the way back to her ship Dirty Hank gives a "we're unlikely to murder you" pep talk. The next morning, discovering that Trislyn is still missing, Dirty Hank hears from Hadal who has apparently "taken her below" and will return her at whim. The group set sail, and come across a mysterious ship in an arcane fog, covered in sentient rats. They do battle, and after a tense stand off between Addi and Gwen, vote to sail away on the Horned Bitch while Gwen is investigating the rat ship, leaving her to die.
The crew sails away from where they marooned Gwen, continuing on to complete the job she hired them for - collecting 100 pounds of Wildsdong and smuggling it into Neverwinter. On the archipelago where the flowers grow, they meet Jewel on the Far Coast, a Tabaxi who has been stranded there for three weeks since the smuggling ship she stowed away on anchored and seem disinclined to leave. The group gathers the goods, accidentally discover the hallucinogenic side effects, thwart an attempt by the smugglers to steal their haul, and arrive at Neverwinter to meet their buyer - Lord Neverember.
Settling the deal with Lord Neverember for their delivery of Wildsong, the group accepts his offer to stay at Castle Never - an offer that his valet later clarifies was definitely intended as a bribe to stay quiet about the Lord buying illicit drugs. On their way into the castle, the group meets Taran Q'Vore, who is disgusted by Dirty Hank's smell and uncleanliness, so Neverember's valet Golmar hustles them away to their rooms to bathe and dress in tailored finery before attending the evening banquet. Before dinner starts, Q'Vore overhears guests plotting, and the coup is sprung as a waiter serves poisoned food to Neverember and other plotters try to poison everyone in the party. Q'Vore flies Neverember to safety as the Baes - with a little help from Hadal - murder most of the usurpers.
Eoj rejoins the crew at Castle Never. Over breakfast, the Marquis Baselfort drops a note in Trislynn's pocket from the Tiefling twins Trislynn met the night before suggesting the crew have earned a break at nearby spa and hot springs, Boaz' pool. The twins had passes to spend time there themselves but were called away on business, and leave them for Trislynn and the crew to use. Addi is still feeling unwell, presumably from the previous night's poisoning, and stays at the castle to recuperate. At Boaz' pool, Hank impresses the staff with his drinking, Eoj concerns the staff with his capacity for worrying, Trislyn is forced to face her feelings and life choices in a deprivation room, and an Aarakocra offers the group a job taking care of a Hill Giant.
A group of four pirates who, over the course of fighting, drinking, making money and seeking love, encounter an ancient and powerful evil.
