The politicians draw their allegiances for and against the prime minister as Ryutaro learns more about his children's lives. Meanwhile, Ryu and Sarah start to date behind the watchful eyes of Ryutaro and Yumiko's perfect life shows cracks.
A scandal starts to brew as Maruyama's brother is arrested, causing the politicians to scramble to make sense of what it means for their futures. Risako's singing career starts to take off and Yumiko discovers her husband's secret.
