Fiona Fitzgerald goes out to get the morning newspaper and doesn't return; Distraught husband Kevin summons son Brendan and his pal Eddie home to look for her; Brendan is shocked to learn who his dad's business partner is.
Mrs. Fitzgerald has been missing for two days. Eddie thinks his cop connection might be able to help find her. But Lt. Alex Miigs may actually be responsible for her disappearance.
In bad shape, Eddie returns with the pillbox; Brendan shows up at the LAPD station to report his mother's disappearance, surprising Miigs; Kidnap victim Fiona thinks husband Kevin is visiting, but is it her mind playing tricks?
Following his interview by Lt. Miigs, Brendan Fitzgerald is corralled by Officer Campos and pumped for information. What she finds out and then reveals to Det. Hollis is a mind blower; Miigs has a fateful meeting with Sgt. Bustamante - one bad cop to another. It doesn't end well; Unaware that Kevin Fitzgerald is lurking somewhere in the house and thinking Eddie has fled, Jackie feels scared and alone. After Miigs delivers yet another abusive rant, she's had it - time to check out of the whole mess. But can she leave Mrs. Fitzgerald behind?
