Glasgow's superhero, Jason Mackenzie, is back. 8 months after saving the city from Mr. Philips' attack, Jason and his guide, Sakura, are roaming the streets to ensure the Queen Demon isn't resurrected.
Jason reveals all to fellow superhero Caitlin, allowing her to discover how he got his powers and what drove him to seek out Ames in the first place. Sloan and Mullan ponder where Frank Stone has disappeared too and what Philips is up to.
Jason is surprised when his brother Michael returns from America, asking for his help to steal back an ancient artifact that was taken from their deceased father. Mullan meets his new partner, Inspector Billy Shipton.
Mr. Philips' nephew recruits two super-powered beings to take down Jason once and for all, while Jason contends with Lexi, an ancient vampire who seeks him out.
Caitlin shows up on Jason's doorstep looking for help, which he only agrees to do if she explains her story.
