We'll have the synopsis for you soon.
Antonia and Regina have gone into debt up to the rafters to realize a dream: They have tastefully converted their charming villa on Lake Chiemsee into a "small hotel on the big lake." The hotel must be a success, or the two ladies will go bankrupt. Their prospects aren't bad, as Antonia and Regina own the only hotel in town with direct lake access. Of course, arch-rival Bartholomäus Breitwieser, who can only offer lake views and fears that his guests will leave, knows this. With diabolical meticulousness, Breitwieser leaves no stone unturned to sabotage the opening of the unpopular rival hotel. The friendly journalist, who promises Antonia and Regina a promotionally effective home story, is, of course, on Breitwieser's payroll - his article in the local press is correspondingly disparaging. But the two powerhouses won't give up so easily, even if things occasionally get sour at home. Their most pressing problem: The opening is in four days, and they still don't have a head chef because all the chefs suddenly work for Breitwieser. When, of all people, his son, Felix, a talented one-star chef, switches sides to the "enemy camp," Breitwieser is furious and takes a tougher approach. With the help of his "friend mafia," he has construction vehicles block the hotel entrance just in time for the grand opening and, to top it off, cuts off the two women's electricity. But every obstacle Breitwieser puts in Antonia and Regina's way ultimately only serves to make their enchanting hotel shine even brighter.
The "Little Hotel on the Big Lake" is now doing very well. Satisfied guests enjoy direct access to the lake and are pampered by the friendly service in the comfortably furnished old villa. Antonia and Regina hardly have a chance to catch their breath. When Regina, who is no longer the youngest, is prescribed a break by her family doctor after a fainting spell, she spends her well-earned vacation-where else?-in her own hotel. While she critically inspects the hotel service, the elegantly dressed globetrotter Maximilian von Lauenberg makes eyes at her. Regina has no idea that the impoverished nobleman is looking for a good match. As if that weren't enough, construction machinery suddenly starts roaring right behind the hotel, causing all the wine decanters to tumble from the shelves. Bartholomäus Breitwieser is once again behind this belligerent action. Their arch-rival wants to block Antonia and Regina's beautiful view and, even though the neighboring property doesn't even belong to him yet, is temporarily having "test drilling" carried out. The guests, frightened by the noise, flee the hotel, and now things are getting tight for the two indebted women, who are dependent on every penny. To stop Breitwieser, Antonia decides to take the plunge: The two women want to buy the property from under their competitor's nose. But to do so, they will have to take out another loan. Savings bank director Vorreiter meets Antonia and Regina with a treacherously generous offer.
The "Little Hotel on the Big Lake" is doing so well that Antonia and Regina could be debt-free in just a year. But a burst water pipe puts a damper on their hopes. While the insurance covers the damage, Antonia and Regina have to pay for the replacement of the dilapidated pipes themselves. However, they lack the necessary income for this, as the noise of the renovations is driving away the hotel guests. The only remaining owner is the capable Karl Feiler, who already actively supported Antonia in turning off the water and is now courting her charmingly. When he realizes that the two women are in financial difficulties, he generously offers them the opportunity to invest in the hotel. Antonia is enthusiastic about this proposal, but Regina remains suspicious - and rightly so. With a little detective work, she discovers that the nice Mr. Feiler is the majority shareholder of a hotel chain that wants to incorporate the "Little Hotel on the Big Lake" into its group. The neighboring hotel belonging to Breitwieser, who is also in financial trouble, is also on Feiler's shopping list. With the help of the corrupt bank director Vorreiter and the venal mayor Flohofer, Feiler plans to drive both hotels into ruin and then buy them cheaply. In addition, runaway Helen is causing a stir at the "Little Hotel on the Big Lake." Thanks to Antonia and Regina's energy, a solution to Helen's worries is found. To avert the impending foreclosure of their hotel, Antonia and Regina join forces with their archenemy Breitwieser. And anyone who has "Bartl" Breitwieser as an enemy is truly to be pitied.
Antonia and Regina have finally reconciled with their archenemy Breitwieser. The old schemer is surprisingly tame and even courts Antonia. However, when he discovers that one of his hotel guests, star conductor Friedrich Theisenbeck, is Antonia's great ex-love, his business sense is reawakened. Breitwieser discreetly brings Antonia and Theisenbeck together. He hopes that Antonia will sell her hotel if she and Theisenbeck become a couple. To expedite matters, Breitwieser tells the conductor about Antonia's illegitimate son. Antonia has concealed the existence of their child from him. Around 30 years ago, Theisenbeck "sacrificed" his relationship with Antonia for his career in Boston and hasn't kept in touch with her since. Theisenbeck and his now-grown son, Thomas, hit it off immediately. His love for Antonia blossoms anew. Theisenbeck is already making plans for the future and asks Antonia to leave with him. Breitwieser's plan seems to be working. If he can now match Regina with the charming Magnus De Boer, the world would be clear. Breitwieser could take over his rivals' hotel without a fight and finally have the coveted lake access. But in his private life, things aren't going as he imagined. He dreams of finally becoming a grandfather, but unfortunately, his son Felix isn't at all interested in women. In solving the problem, Breitwieser ultimately proves to be surprisingly progressive.
