One year after the birth of little Marta, preparations for Cesare and Pamela's wedding are in full swing, Marco and Eva are back from the X-Tour and Giulio is going through another crisis with Lucia.
Giulio's mental health declines and, on Olga's advice, he starts going to counseling; the relationship between Ezio and his son deteriorates; Pamela's attempts to be the perfect wife do not seem to have the right effect on Cesare.
Stefania tries to strengthen her relationship with Pamela, while Giulio seems to be closer to getting back on track. Meanwhile, Marco is having second thoughts about his inspiration for his upcoming album.
Giulio feels he has lost control over the situation with his kids, and Eva appears to be extremely apprehensive as regards Marta's upbringing. Meanwhile, the dynamic duo of Ezio and Cesare schemes against Barilon's insurance company, aided by returning Sonsei.

The series revolves around the adventures of an extended family, made up by Giulio, widower and father of three boys, and Lucia, divorced and mother of two girls.
