Katie goes on her first virtual Zoom date, where she meets Josh. At first, everything is going well - until it isn't. Josh starts making Katie slightly uncomfortable and she has to figure out a way to get off the call as fast as she can. So, Katie comes up with a clever lie to ditch her date and spend the rest of her evening alone and at peace.
Katie goes on a Zoom date with Roxy, but Roxy doesn't seem all that interested in Katie at first. Later, the date gets more interesting, until Roxy gives Katie a "friends and family" discount at their business, and then things take a turn.
Katie tells her BFF, Amber, about the horrendous dates she's been on, and Amber has a bit of news to tell Katie as well. Later, Katie goes on another Zoom date. At first, things seem to be going really well, but then they take a turn.
Katie bonds with fellow Star Wars fan, Artie, over text message. The next day, they meet for a Zoom date, and Katie quickly realizes that Artie is very different over text than in real life.
Katie goes on a bunch of speed dates to try to find "the one", but ends up striking out. She later hangs out with her mom to try to chill out, but ends up getting even more stressed about dating, the pandemic, and life in general.
Dating is hard enough as it is, but dating during a pandemic? That's the worst. From awkward virtual meet ups to zoom booty calls, finding virtual love during lockdown is quite the challenge.
