Massimo, bar owner and amateur sleuth, is attending his uncle's funeral when the village is suddenly torn by a scream. The local chemist has been murdered, and soon the talk of the town is that Massimo's ex-father in law is the murderer. Massimo assists the female sheriff Vittoria and her right hand Tiziana in solving the case while trying to steer himself free of some heavy flirting.
After finish his work Marchino finds the body of a teenager girl and goes to BarLume to call the police who don't believe him after his infamous past. Massimo goes to check and here starts a new story of BarLume.
Massimo, the new barman of the Lume, helps Commissioner Fusco solve the most varied cases in Pineta, in the Tuscany Riviera.
