A fresh batch of famous faces wave goodbye to their lives of luxury and set up camp in the Australian wilderness for up to three weeks, battling bugs and Bushtucker Trials, rations and rain, and heat and hunger, all in the name of entertainment. They are veteran newsreader Michael Buerk, former Fulham footballer Jimmy Bullard, Corrie favourite Craig Charles (Lloyd Mullaney), TOWIE's Gemma Collins, motorbike racing legend Carl Fogarty, model and singer Nadia Forde, 'Allo 'Allo. star Vicki Michelle, rapper Tinchy Stryder, TV presenter Melanie Sykes and reality television's Kendra Wilkinson. This year, the celebrities have been divided into two groups and for the first time ever, the public will decide their fate before they even set foot in the jungle, choosing which group to send to the Celebrity Slammer - a jungle-style jail - where all manner of discomforts await, and where most importantly one of them will face the first Bushtucker Trial. The others will enjoy a final night of luxury. Ant and Dec follow the drama.
Ant and Dec watch the drama unfold as the contestants acclimatise to their jungle surroundings and get better acquainted with one another, and Jimmy Bullard undertakes the Tunnel of Terror to earn food for his fellow campmates. The survival challenge may have only just begun, but will any of the celebrities already be desperate for a plane ticket home?
Ant and Dec present the latest celebrity happenings from the jungle, as Gemma Collins makes a shock decision. It's a few days into the three-week competition and some of the campers will be struggling, but others will be emerging as potential winners, keen to take the crown from reigning champion Kian Egan.
Both Gemma Collins and Craig Charles have already left the jungle, but the campmates welcome two new arrivals - former MP Edwina Currie and recently axed X Factor singer Jake Quickenden. Ant and Dec present all the highs and lows from the past 24 hours and announce who is next to face the Bushtucker Trial.
Ant and Dec present a round-up of events from the past 24 hours as the contestants spend another day collecting firewood, boiling rice and cleaning out the toilet, as well as performing the odd challenge. With hunger kicking in, the pressure mounts for the next celebrity who must face the Bushtucker Trial to earn food for the camp.
Twelve celebrities are abandoned in the Australian jungle. In order to earn food, they must perform Bushtucker Trials which challenge them physically and mentally.
