The glamorous wedding between Valerie Landau and Robert Fox keeps the reporters of fashion magazines on their toes. Because Valerie - the illegitimate daughter of the journalist Barbara Landau and the deceased fashion czar Franz Steininger - marries none other than the son of the American fashion entrepreneur Maximilian Fox. Fox is the great arch rival of the Steininger family, who finally sees his opportunity to come into the possession of the majority share of the traditional Dessousmoden house. Undeterred, Albert Steininger and his fiancee Alpha plan to establish the Aphrodite brand in Italy with the help of influential fashion entrepreneur Pietro Bellini. Due to the enormous entrepreneurial effort, however, the company comes under so much pressure that Albert sees no other option than to ask Maximilian Fox for financial help. This aggravates the fight for supremacy in the family business, including the newly married couple Valerie and Robert has to suffer. Robert does not yet know how to confess to his wife that he spent the night before the wedding with another when another bomb explodes: As Valerie "backwards" learns that Robert was assigned to manage the company shares of her half-sister Tessy , a violent quarrel breaks out between the newlyweds. Robert loses control of the car and it comes to a momentous accident.

In the tragic accident during the honeymoon Valerie has lost her child, another burden on her marriage. But that's not all: When Robert finally sees through the evil machinations of his father Maximilian, he decides, in order to gain distance to first return to New York. At the same time, Maximilian is courting two women at the same time: Elisabeth, the widow of the late Patriarch Steiniger, likes to think back to her romantic past with Maximilian Fox - but in her mind, it is rather the journalist Barbara Landau, Valerie's attractive mother. To thwart Maximilian Fox's takeover plans, chief designer Alpha is considering asking Italian partner Pietro Bellini for financial support. Because the cooperation with Bellini proves to be very fruitful for the Aphrodite Group. A spectacular fashion show, whose artistic design is in the hands of Bellini's son Alessandro, thrilled the Italian professional audience. Meanwhile, the intriguing Karin Schroeder - Robert Fox cunning ex-assistant and lover - has found a way to bind himself again to the Steininger family: This time she has turned the young, inexperienced Carl Steininger's head, so their influence on the Secure company. It does not take long for her to surprise the bewildered family clan with the "happy" news: Karin is expecting a child from Carl.

There is still silence between Robert and Valerie. Meanwhile, Maximilian Fox, together with the intriguing Karin Schröder, is doing everything in his power to finally ruin the house of Aphrodite. When Robert tries to expose his father's plot, Karin steps in his path and knocks him down in cold blood. Robert falls into a coma - as an urgent suspect, Albert Steininger is arrested. Karin, meanwhile, goes to the hospital under an excuse to complete her act. But when Robert awakens from the coma, Valerie is at his side to reconcile with him. Also Albert and Alpha can finally clear the obstacles in their relationship. Soon the preparations for a romantic wedding are going on at a castle in Styria.
