1996, Sanka finishes school. He spends the graduation party with a cool girl from a parallel class, Ksyukha, and the next morning he meets her father Maxim Nikolaevich, a retired police colonel. Vovka decides to earn easy money and gets involved with bandits. Once he gets a large sum, he turns to Alik for help, who recently got out of prison.
Sanka comes to Zhenya who has returned to the city to pick up her grandmother's ring, and meets her fiance Gosha. Vovka thinks that the issue with the "goods" has been resolved, but Vasya comes to his house and hints that the debt will have to be worked out. Vovka and Sanka witness the murder.
Vasya heads the Tula criminal group and receives the first delivery of the "goods". Gosha is waiting for an appointment to the post of press attache and offers Zhenya to get married urgently. Sanka writes an application for Vasya and gives it to Maksim Nikolaevich. In return for help in catching the bandit, he asks Sanka to disappear from Ksyukha's life.
Vovka loses a large sum in the slot machines. Meanwhile, Malaya finds his stash and decides to spend the money. Ksyukha wants to talk to Sanka, but sees him at the stall with Zhenya.
Zhenya and Gosha go to the registry office, but the painting breaks down. Vovka fulfills a debt to Vasya and steals a package with "goods". Alik takes Masha and the children to his father's house.
1993. 14-year-old Sanka lives a normal teenage life - looking for adventure, trying to defend himself against bullies, doesn't want to go to music school, doesn't know how to communicate with girls and from which adults to take an example.
