Crni, with the help of Lepi and Hrc, takes Toma under the bridge with the plan to kill him. When Nika arrives and tries to stop him, Crni fires and wounds Toma. He prepares to finish the job, but Vilma appears, slaps him, and forces him to stop. Together they drag the injured Toma away. Meanwhile, Veljko and Ivana enjoy time with Vili. Unexpectedly, they share a moment of passion, as they make love, but their intimacy is cut short when Damjan arrives with the police and a warrant for Veljko's arrest. Ivana and Marina watch in shock as Veljko is taken away. Bratos witnesses the scene and realizes Ivana is not ready to leave with him. Veljko is prepared to confess everything, but he is stunned when he learns that Damjan wants to expand the investigation. At Joco's villa, Joco slips, falls into the pool, and loses consciousness. When the police arrive for him, they find him unconscious. In the village, Lorena goes into labor. Jakov searches desperately for help and stops a car driven by an unknown woman. As he helps Lorena inside, she realizes the driver is Gabrijela. Before Jakov can react, Gabrijela speeds off with Lorena, leaving Jakov and the terrified Simats behind. Crni is distraught after shooting Toma, while Nika struggles to drag the wounded Toma home, looking for Ivana's help.
Drago, Sanja, and Jakov are beside themselves with worry for Lorena after Gabrijela drives away with her. Unsure of what to do, Gabrijela makes a detour, but as Lorena's contractions intensify, she changes her mind and takes her to the hospital. Meanwhile, Tereza advises Veljko to defend himself with silence. Veljko, however, fears that his family could also be endangered by the investigation. Crni is devastated by what he has done to Toma. Vilma confronts him, making it clear that she is finished with him and no longer afraid. Ivana tends to Toma's wounds and patches him up, urging him to go to the hospital. He refuses, leaving Ivana deeply worried for her daughter's safety-after all, she married a criminal. At the police station, Joco struggles to withstand the pressure of Damjan's interrogation and faints. After doctors check on him, he suddenly claims he no longer remembers why he was brought in-or so it seems. Klaudija informs Damjan that she will be taking over the investigation. Miro, Una, and Divna watch the news about Veljko and struggle to cope with the newly unfolding situation. Back at the hospital, Drago and Sanja continue to worry about Lorena-who finally gives birth to a healthy baby boy.
