Mike Wallis from High Wycombe, while living in Spain, invented a board game called Word Blind - the object being to identify a word through four dictionary definitions, each one getting easier. Ann Winters, from Kent, was pregnant with her second child she set about designing a double-decker baby buggy. Architects Julia Bartfield and David Marks, the couple who designed the London Eye, have invented an alternative to regularly brushing your teeth.
Looks at Mike Keenan from Essex who has been working for years on developing ways of fireproofing items; Francis Hobbs and his "Stickaframe" invention using wood and velcro which can be used for a variety of constructions and which he hopes can be used to provide disaster relief shelter; Damini Kumar and preventing dripping spouts on teapots; and Brian and Laura Wallen and their Squeeze Boxes for holding popcorn. Trevor Baylis also appears talking about his clockwork radio invention which has been a huge success.
