Budding actor Jack returns home one night to discover his roommate Paul is moving out of the apartment they share. Oh great. Also, Jack's play isn't going over so well. Like a lot of actors, he is very very depressed. Will his career ever pan out? He needs a new roommate right away to be able to pay his very expensive rent.

Jack is a young, down on his luck actor who, by the suggestion of his ex-girlfriend Gillian, puts out an ad for a new roommate as he cannot afford the rent by himself. A man named Sam responds to the ad and wants to move in right away. Jack meets Sam face-to-face as he is moving in, except Sam is not a "he", Sam (Samantha) is a hott chick! It gets even more hilariously awkward as Gillian is very jealous of Jack and Sam being roommates.
