When English musician Gary Swann stepped on stage with African-American soul singer Shalondra in Las Vegas, it was love at first verse. Now, their families have come together, moved back to the UK and landed the best gig in TV house band on everyones favourite tea time chat show, The Totally Annabelle Show.
In front of the TV screens, teen presenter Annabelle is a darling and adored by all. However, once the cameras stop rolling, the Swanns soon discover her real persona
With five child stars living, singing and schooling under one roof, there are guaranteed tears and tantrums and the occasional spontaneous musical number! Firstly, there are Garys two teenage children self-styled bad boy of rock and secret softie Hadley and quick-witted musical genius Toyah. Then there are Shalondras children fame-hungry diva-in-the-making Aretha and family joker Isaac. Finally, Gary and Shalondra have produced the baby of the family cheeky, entrepreneur-in-the-making Martha, who is deaf.
In the first episode, the Swann family get their first shot at fame as the house band on The Totally Annabelle Show.
chaos reigns in the Swann household when Gary and Shalondra decide to spend some time alone together, as CBBCs all-singing, all-dancing comedy-drama series continues.
Garys father, Terry an ageing former rock star becomes a rather unsuitable babysitter when he seems more concerned with reliving his rock star past and playing loud guitar than looking after his grandchildren. Unfortunately, Toyah needs to practise for her grade 8 cello exam and, to make matters worse, Aretha becomes distraught when Terry insists he joins the band to perform his old embarrassing hit from the Seventies.
Unaware of the issues at home, Gary and Shalondra have their own troubles to contend with when they maroon their camper van in a muddy field full of angry cows.
orcine capers and sudden hearing loss feature in this weeks episode of CBBCs all-singing, all-dancing comedy-drama, following the exploits of the Swann family.
Isaac is won over by Annabelles latest publicity stunt involving Pixie, a cute pet piglet. However, when he realises that she doesnt really care for Pixie he kidnaps the animal.
Gary is busy redecorating his bedroom so Issac has to share with Hadley. He desperately tries to keep Pixie quiet before Hadleys suspicions are aroused.
Meanwhile, Aretha loses her hearing just as a record company executive is due to hear her perform, so Toyah and Martha try to help her rediscover her voice.
The melodious goings on at the Swann family residence continue this week with maths tests, signature perfumes and talking dolls on the song sheet, in CBBCs musical comedy series.
Isaac is in trouble and faces being booted out of the band after getting an appalling score in his maths test, while his brother and sisters attempt to rally round and help.
Aretha, meanwhile, creates a distinct pong when trying to concoct her signature perfume and Hadleys euphoria at having his own talking doll soon turns to disappointment when he hears what his namesake toy has to say for itself.
Elsewhere, Grandad arrives to finish his new album but lacks inspiration. When Issac tries to help his rocking grandfather rekindle his creative flair, he discovers an unusual way of solving his mathematical problems.
