Heather and her sketchy Toronto roommate Kesha head to Northern Paradise after they discover Heather's dad aka "Daddy" mysteriously died.
Heather and Kesha are greeted by Grandma Anne with laxatives in hand to sabotage Candy, Heather's sketchy stepmother. Candy is already up to no good.
Heather and Kesha give a "eulogy." Heather finds herself in a "love triangle." They continue to try and solve the murder - and collect "their inheritance."
Kesha tries to flirt with Daddy's lawyer to get the inheritance - Heather now romantically wants what she can't have..
Heather and Kesha catch Candy doing "business" with the New Mayor. As an investigation tactic, they wear slutty outfits in an attempt to distract the New Mayor into confessing - to Daddy's murder.
As small-town girl Heather gets to know her new street-wise roommate Kesha, she starts to suspect Kesha may be an escort because of her dubious and sketchy behaviour. However, Heather is non-confrontational in the extreme, and her inability to address a series of Kesha's red-flag moments leads to the hilarious unraveling of Heather's life.
