Episodes
Ricky is a young American writer living in Jordan and gets invited to his neighbors, party to celebrate their son's graduation. After a miscommunication at the fiesta, he tries again at a funeral but that did not end well at all either.
Ricky tried to fit a date in with Cherry and a meeting with Abu Traad into the same night. Little did he know that Eastern times are not based on a clock but rather on a feeling. Needless to say, tempers run hot in this head-on collision of cultures.
Abu Traad was watching his neighbor and starts to feel suspicious that this guy is a terrorist. He ropes in the help of Traad and Ricky to be the heroic sleuth he's convinced that he is and naturally they encounter some problems.
Traad's heart becomes enamored with a neighbor girl but his father says no. He runs away for some meditative counseling from an ill-trained Ricky while his family is left wondering where he has gone.
Ricky had plans for a Turkish bath but the Traads changed them by inviting him to the Dead Sea with them. His first 'family' trip turns out to be much different than he expected.
A struggling American writer moves to Amman, Jordan to chronicle his life there and publish a book. His Jordanian upstairs neighbors take him in as their own and they turn out to be more than he can handle. For four seasons, their ongoing misunderstandings, blunders and pettiness lead to a million laughs and a few steps toward peace in the Middle East.
