A determined young man challenges societal norms, seeking love and belonging while redefining his identity beyond disability.
Episodes
Ian makes a splash at a "Wheelchair Warrior'' talk for speaking the truth about being disabled in front of an auditorium full of children, in stark contrast to his ever-inspirational disabled counterpart, Rex. Ian and Eric attend the EP release party for none other than DJ Lil' Derp in an effort to link Eric up with his crush, Sam, who owns the venue.
Ian unintentionally berates a deaf child at work and gets sent to sensitivity training by his boss. Ian loses his cool at the training after dealing with a douchey bro, Darrell, who is insistent on bringing the 'r-word' back. At the end of a long day, Ian joins Eric and Sam at Sam's bar, and fears he may be starting to develop feelings for her.
Ian agrees to go on a double date with Sam, Eric, and a girl he met online, Peyton. However, Peyton reveals herself to be insufferable, and the evening turns sour when Ian accuses her of going out with him for the clout and the sympathy points. Always the mediator, Sam consoles Ian, allowing the two to further connect.
When Ian can't get into work because of an "out of service" sign on the elevator, Al conscripts him to be a mobile sandwich board outside the store instead. Fed up with the humiliation, Ian seeks out Al to protest and is shocked to find him having a romantic lunch with Angela, causing Ian to quit his job. At a meeting of the Canadian, Pansexual Society complete with Sam's ex Amy, it is revealed that Eric did not finish university.
Ian searches for jobs to no avail. Sam takes a day off and Eric volunteers to run the bar in her absence. In an attempt to smooth things over with Ian, Angela orchestrates a boys' night at the bar with the help of Eric. But the event misses the mark, as Ian's three least favourite people are invited, Rex, Lil Derp, and Al.
Ian, a man in his 20's with cerebral palsy, tries to find love and purpose in a world not designed for wheels while navigating the pressures of adulthood.
