JD Lawrence is an American writer, director, and producer of films, television, and stage plays. JD Lawrence, also known as "The King of Dramedy," has mastered the art of improvisation infused with drama, comedy, and music. In 2018, JD Lawrence in his one-man show, SKITZophrenia played 63 characters, beating the Guinness World Record holder of 53 characters since 2001. The multi-hyphenate has been dubbed "The Man of Many Faces" by EBONY Magazine. Lawrence made history as the first playwright to executive produce and create a do-cu-series for BRAVO television about the mounting of a theatrical show.
Rehearsals have their ups and downs as the cast tries to learn their lines. Ginuwine isn't sure this role is for him, D'atra confronts Kristen about an issue, and the connection between Tondy and Ginuwine is heating up.
Tensions are still high in the townhouse and after experiencing the wrath of D'atra, the cast wants nothing to do with her. Rehearsals are divided, D'atra is separated from the rest of the cast, and JD struggles to unite everyone.
In the aftermath of D'atra's firestorms, everyone tries to find some sense of normality. The drama in the house seems to be calming down, but a tense filled rehearsal triggers Taylour to reignite old issues.
On the heels of yet another blow up with D'atra, the cast chooses to give the "Beyoncé of Theater" the cold shoulder. Meanwhile, the cast is frustrated and concerned that their leading man is so disengaged.
The series follows mega-producer JD Lawrence and his top-tier theater company through all the five-star action and juicy drama that comes with launching a new stage production.
