Akane's boyfriend ends their relationship for someone he met in the online game Forest of Savior (FOS). She shares her distress with YAMADA from the same game guild, unaware of the life-changing consequences ahead.
Akane meets YAMADA at a FOS event but lies about him being her new boyfriend. To make up for it, she gets drunk and he cares for her at his home. Akane loses her necklace there and faces Yamada's cold treatment and harsh reprimand later.
Akane's breakup leaves her distracted during a matchmaking date. In FOS, she notices Yamada's closeness to Rurihime, prompting her to self-reflect. Rurihime invites her to an offline meetup, creating uncertain plans.
Akane attends a FOS collab café meetup with the Chocolate Rabbit Guild. She recognizes Yamada and Rurihime but is surprised by the identities of Mr. Kamota (takezo, a strawberry farmer) and Eita (an unexpected character) in the group.
Akane wants to befriend her guildmates but feels distant from Eita's sister, Runa. Excited about her café invitation, she's pranked by Runa to meet a stranger. Yamada later learns about the prank while tutoring Runa at her home.
After her boyfriend breaks up with her for another girl, Akane Kinoshita decides she is going to make him regret his decision. Unexpectedly, however, she meets a socially awkward gamer who might just solve all of her problems.
