It's 18 months since Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree embarked upon their renovation of a 45-room French chateau and only 9 rooms have been done. The project is going to have to start paying for itself by hosting weddings.
The couple make business plans for the grounds, including charging people to fish in the moat and forage in the woods. Angel starts work on a second guest suite but her plan to install an elevator tests Dick's engineering skills.
Dick and Angel await the arrival of guests, who are expecting a luxurious Christmas at the Chateau. Meanwhile, Dick continues to work on the lift and Angel discovers some valuable vinyl records.
British engineer Dick Strawbridge and his wife Angel buy a rundown French chateau. The series shows them over the course of a year, as they restore the building that has stood empty for 40 years.
