Julian is called to a pig in a difficult labour, and a cockerel with a suspicious lump. Peter helps a young calf called pudding and gives his own kitten Toddy the snip. Young vet Matt faces a pampered pooch and its emotional owner.
Julian meets Mia the meerkat, who suffered terrible injuries being rejected from her gang. Peter handles a scary-looking doberman and a newborn lamb. Matt treats moggie Jess who went missing and returned injured.
Julian races to the scene of a freak accident then helps elderly pussycat Gizmo. Peter meets a badly injured tawny owl brought in by a member of the public. He then tends to elderly horse Hazel.
Julian has to castrate Big Dillon, the largest ferret he has ever seen. Peter treats Mary, a badly injured black swan. Peter also has to save a sheep that has prolapsed after giving birth.
Julian meets Toby the tortoise who has lost his appetite after emerging from hibernation. Peter must choose to save a young ewe or her lamb and deal with a castrated horse who refuses to wake up.
