Julian Norton, Peter Wright and their staff deal with more animal emergencies including a dog facing an emergency operation to remove a tumour and a prolapsing sheep that has to be treated on the car park.
Julian and head nurse Sarah tend to an injured swan at a fishing lake. Meanwhile, Bobby (a canine member of the North Yorkshire police force) is brought in to the surgery to have an operation.
