A master bagel maker has built a big following in Chicago. But even as he dreams of expanding beyond the windy city his business is growing stale. His branding is uninspired, his product mix is all over the place, and while he and his wife have overcome great challenges together, he struggles with giving her a say in the company. If Marcus can't push him to rise to the occasion, this would-be mogul isn't going anywhere.

Santa's Toys is a specialty toy store owned by Mark and Heidi Schmidt. While Marcus is there, he discovers that Santa's Toys has bad inventory and a horrible customer experience.

Ben's Garden is a specialty designer and retail store whose designs are handcrafted using traditional artisan techniques. The owner Ben Busko has Asperger's Syndrome which makes him think more creatively than emotionally. Ben has high standards which is causing employee turnover and he is also doing too many jobs within the company.

Former employees of the Casery partner with Marcus to start their own cellphone case business, the new employees struggle as leaders but still manage to impress with their attention to detail.
