Episodes
Seventeen-year-old Mia Kalisch is found dead in the woods by a farmer. Traces at the crime scene indicate that she fell on the tip of a branch during a fight and succumbed to her injuries. At the same time, eighteen-year-old Emil Paschke is reported missing by his mother. Initial investigations reveal that the two had arranged a nighttime rendezvous. In the woods, the police discover the couple's abandoned tent, with several beer bottles and a small box of LSD drugs in front of it. The detectives manage to track down the boy, who appears completely distraught, in a tree stand. Could he have killed his girlfriend while high on drugs? During interrogation, Emil states that on the night of the crime, he and Mia fled from a huge wolf that had ambushed them in front of the tent. The detectives initially believe Emil's story is the product of hallucinogenic drugs. But then forensic pathologist Dr. Henning Strahl finds wolf hair on the girl's body.
Beate Martens, 44, is found dead in her house. At first glance, she fell down the stairs and hit her head on the floor. A closer examination of the body reveals a different picture: It was no accident; the woman was stabbed in the back. Everything indicates that her husband, Ivo, is the perpetrator. The 46-year-old ex-soldier has been severely traumatized since the Yugoslavian War. Just weeks ago, his wife called the police because of domestic violence, but then withdrew her complaint. But why have his two children, Jara and Milan, 16 and 17 years old, been on the run since the attack? Are they afraid of having to testify against their father? For Finn and Lars, the case seems clear. The detectives cross-examine the suspect. But the man protests his innocence and suddenly collapses. Little by little, the investigators uncover the dark secret of the Martens family-a secret that completely turns their findings on their head.

At night in a park near the University of Lübeck, young Maja Brock is attacked by a man. Luckily, law student David Kutada rushes to her aid. A scuffle ensues. The attacker falls down a flight of stairs and lies motionless on the ground with a gaping laceration. At the hospital, he is diagnosed with severe traumatic brain injury. His condition is critical. Kutada testifies at the scene that the masked man pulled out a knife. But there is no trace of the weapon. Finn and Lars also encounter inconsistencies during their interrogation at the police station. Why does the student claim not to have known the victim of the attack beforehand? Fellow students can testify that he had his eye on Maja at a semester party. Couldn't the rescuer have actually been there by chance?
In the gym of an upscale boarding school, a student, Tim Godenberg, is brutally beaten. He falls and falls into a coma with a head wound. The victim's father, headmaster Johann Godenberg, immediately suspects student Benny Schulz of committing the crime. Benny had only been attending the boarding school for a few months thanks to a social scholarship. Allegedly, he was never able to integrate into the class. Finn and Lars, however, discover that the boy was bullied by Tim and called a "faggot." His body also shows clear signs of abuse. Did Benny want revenge for the bullying? But what about the threatening messages they discovered on Tim's smartphone?
