Ben, so he can score with pretty Sandrine, allows her to photograph his exploits on his skateboard. He plans to go down a very steep hill with his friend Thomas. However Ben panics and causes an accident in which Thomas is injured. Sandrine puts them in an embarrassing situation by revealing her report to the entire class.
Ben and Martine are overwhelmed, when they realize their feelings towards each other. Meanwhile, Cotard drags Ben and Thomas in a fight against another school's soccer team.
Ben and Thomas's professor announces the arrival of a new pupil from Sweden. Ben and Thomas succumb to the charms of beautiful foreign Liselott. Ben maneuvers to become her "tutor".
Thomas is not good in maths, and has to explain himself to his professor, Mrs. Vignes. She advises him to stay after class to get private tutoring. Angry, Thomas makes an anonymous call to her husband, saying she has an affair.
Ben and Thomas are frustrated about their science project which they judge is too hard to do and decide to cheat on someone else's work. Mr. Velzy, the professor, notices that Ben and Mercier, a Gothic teenager, handed in a similar paper. Since Ben is the intellectual one, the professor assumes that Mercier is the cheater...
Ben and Thomas are two best friends. Ben is Jewish, Thomas is of a north African descent from his mother side. Ben is a dreamer and an intellectual, Thomas is adventurous and wild. What brings them together is skateboarding : if they could, they would spend their days practicing and going down the streets of their little suburban town. But, at age 15, they both share another special interest : girls. At school, they take great care at not being considered nerds and the truth is they are not good at dating. A situation that puzzles them, especially when their elders show off their dates and put them to shame...
