The arrival of beautiful, mysterious French Junior Champion, Dorothée Doutey, causes rumors and sparks to fly, further fueled by Dorothée's reaction to their surprise - her horse, Hugo. The Saddle Club's enthusiasm for lessons from the junior champion, quickly turn to disappointment and self-doubt. And they are all astonished to hear Deborah is taking over while Mrs. Reg is visiting her sister.
Veronica uses her influence to become a member of the Saddle Club Singers, but the first gig Scooter gets the group is not what they expected. When Dorothée's punctiliousness takes the fun out of training the Saddle Club sets out to mend the rift between Dorothée and her horse.
