Sally Lemm works another late night on a big upcoming litigation. She is interrupted by dogs barking and a commotion in the backyard. She goes to investigate.
Dr. Milgram is given a prestigious international award for his work but he and Evelyn disagree about its implications. Sally has returned from the yard. Not good.
Dr. Milgram may be slacking off on the job as Evelyn's "issues" get worse.
Sally and her boyfriend Paul Melchior meet in the park. Later in the day Sally and her best friend Mimi Hallen and Mimi's boyfriend David King have coffee.
Milgram, now doing book-signings for his Pullman Prize-winning book, is approached by David King who urges him to see Sally and help her with her problems. Dr. Peter Steck, Milgrams line boss, isn't happy when Milgram gets back to the office, confronting him on Dr. Robinette's concerns about Milgram's handling of the Patient Reiss case.
