To cheer Flip, Sue, and Quack up, Captain Kraken offers to brew a mysterious energy elixir. To do this, the children first embark on an adventure to the terrible hold of the ship and find a barrel marked with a red cross, then pick some laminaria in the garden. Later, Captain Kraken puts this laminaria in the barrel to pickle. It turns out that all this was needed to make pickled laminaria. And hard work was the energy elixir. As a result, Captain Kraken thanks the children for their efforts and treats them with sweets, which immediately cheers Flip, Sue, and Quack up.
This is a story about three little kids who dream of becoming real pirates. The small fish Flip, the small jellyfish Sue and the sea duck Quack live with their grandfather - rather strange old retired pirate Captain Kraken. Together they learn the wisdom of pirate life that results in many comic and funny adventures.
